April 1, 2019:

Update: the work has already been completed.

Northville  Township has just received the following notice from ADS about some temporary work that is being done today. You may notice increased odors while work is being completed.

ARBOR HILLS CONSTRUCTION WORK UPDATE: TEMPORARY DISRUPTION OF GAS COLLECTION SYSTEM THIS MORNING MAY CAUSE HEIGHTENED ODOR POTENTIAL EARLY IN DAY

Please be advised that construction work this morning at Arbor Hills landfill will require a temporary shut-down of the landfill’s gas collection system. The shut down is scheduled to last from 8 am – 12 noon today, Monday, April 1st.

This planned outage is necessary to complete piping work associated with upgrades being made to the landfill’s gas collection system. The outage will cause a disruption in gas flow from the landfill to the gas-to-energy plant, which may lead to a heightened possibility of landfill gas odor near Arbor Hills.

Arbor Hills’ goal is to complete our work on the system as quickly as possible to minimize the duration and intensity of any odors and restore normal operations as soon as possible.

Your patience is appreciated and Advanced Disposal apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause. Advanced Disposal is working on solutions to prevent future odor concerns.

Thank you.
