Supervisor LogoDuring this Covid-19 crisis, the Township has been actively involved in addressing the concerns of our long-term and senior care facilities. We have accomplished the following:

  • Our Fire Chief has, and continues to contact these facilities twice a week to determine whether they need personal protection equipment or other services.
  • The Township has reached out to the County to have testing made available to senior facilities in the Township.
  • The County has advised that testing will be made available for seniors in the following facilities:
    Addington Place

    Anthology of Northville
    Brookdale Northville
    Oakmont Northville
Pomeroy Living Northville Assisted & Memory Care
    Sunrise of Northville
    Brighton Gardens of Northville
    Cedarbrook of Northville
  • The Township EMS will assist in conducting the tests.

Progress is finally being made to safely ease restrictions affecting residents and businesses. You can look forward to the following with the use of appropriate safeguards:
  • Township employees have returned to work and the facility will re-open when permitted.
  • A secure 24/7 drop-box is being installed for ballot applications, ballots, and utility payments for residents’ convenience.
  • Starting on June 1, 2020, a new remote bill pay service for residents will be launched. Residents will be able to review and pay bills and taxes with AutoPay using credit/debit card or e-check.
  • New walking/hiking/biking trails on the eastern end of the 7 Mile Property will be completed by mid-June and opened to the public. Expansion of the trails to the west end of the 7 Mile Property is being planned for late fall.
Hopefully, this progress will continue.
