Amy Prevo – Director
Amy has 30 years of experience supporting youth and young adults as they grow to their fullest potential. She started her career in the classroom and learned early on that she wanted to work with kids on a much more personal level so she went to graduate school and earned her master’s degree in guidance & counseling. She has built a career on supporting students, particularly those who have been marginalized, as they navigate obstacles toward their goals. She spent ten years at Eastern Michigan University as the Associate Director and then Director of the Upward Bound program assisting middle and high school students in Ypsilanti on their paths to college enrollment. She later worked at Schoolcraft College as a Faculty Facilitator in the Learning Resource Center assisting students facing academic challenges. She also served as the Assistant Director and then Associate Director of the Center for Educational Outreach at the University of Michigan, where she developed academic and school counseling collaborations with school districts and communities across the state of Michigan.
Amy is a proud graduate of Northville High School, and has two children; a NHS graduate and a current NHS senior. She enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, doing home improvement projects around the house, and hanging out at area dog parks with her Goldendoodle.
Kerri Ann Sondreal – Youth Support Specialist
As a Masters-level, Board Certified Counselor, Kerri Ann brings over 20 years of counseling experience to Northville Youth Network. She has worked in residential treatment facilities, Intensive Outpatient Units, and as a contracted therapist for the Department of Health and Human Services. While she has experience working with individuals, families, and couples of all ages, teens and pre-teens are her absolute favorite people to work with! Kerri Ann has experience with clients who struggle with depression, anxiety, decision making, eating disorders, peer pressure and self-esteem issues. She also has a great passion for preventative care and works to create events and programs that help kids of all ages grow into the best versions of themselves. Relationship building is her strength and her highest priority is making sure that her clients feel seen, understood and valued.
Kerri Ann grew up in the Milwaukee, WI area and as a result is a huge Green Bay Packer fan who calls “pop” soda and cannot properly pronounce Tecumseh. She currently resides in Northville Township with her husband, two teenagers, and a rescued Chihuahua.
Bridget Drzweicki – Wellness Coordinator
Bridget is a Certified Health Coach, Kids Yoga Instructor and Registered Yoga Teacher. She started sharing this passion with others in 2017 after a 20-year career split between sales and raising her children. She is driven to help others. She enjoys planning programs that assist youth in building awareness of their current physical, mental and emotional state and empowering them to make positive changes by building a mindful toolbox. These mindfulness-based tools are shared in a fun and engaging way and can support kids of all ages by calming their minds, regulating their emotions, lowering stress and finding moments of presence. Bridget has personally witnessed the benefits of these tools in her own life and is eager to empower others with these techniques.
Bridget lives in Northville with her husband, Matt, her two children, Mason and Kathryn, and her Cavapoo, Nellie. This fall she will be pursuing a master’s degree in counseling from Central Michigan University. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with friends and family, reading, going on walks and traveling to new places.
Christine Spangler – Youth Assistance Program Coordinator
Christine has been working with youth as an educator since 1999. During her career, she served as a secondary educator and instructional coach at Wayne RESA and recently begun teaching various education classes at Wayne State University, as well as coaching, mentoring and supporting new teachers as they enter the field. She also has worked with educators and students on topics, including mindfulness, self-care, self-esteem, peer pressure, social-emotional learning, diversity, equity and inclusive practices, and trauma-informed instruction. With a background in STEM, she has completed professional learning for students and adults for the past four years.
While Christine loves working with children of all ages, she is fascinated in particular by the development and maturity of teens, particularly as we navigate a new world of social media, technology and more accepting behaviors of society. She has lived in several places throughout the country, calling Chicago, Colorado Springs and now Northville home. She lives with her husband and two dogs and has three grown children, two of whom have recently graduated, one from Michigan State University and the other from Ohio State University.
