Parenting can be tough work! Northville Youth Network provides parents and caregivers with programs and services that support you and your efforts to raise happy and healthy kids on topics including but not limited to child development stages, “overparenting” and appropriate boundaries, raising boys/girls, substance use awareness and many more.

Two specific programs we offer include:

Overbooked

Overbooked is an opportunity to meet with other local parents to discuss a specific book or article that explores hot topics in parenting and the emotional wellbeing of our kids. Come to all the discussions, or come to only those that pique your interest. Read the material in depth, skim it, or just check out the cover on Amazon. No pressure! Simply join us in the spirit of growth and support! The Northville District Library also orders a few copies of each selection that can be checked out. Check below for a flyer of our next Overbooked.

Youth Mental Health First Aid (YMHFA)
Anyone, anywhere can be the one to make a difference in the life of a youth with a mental health or substance use challenge – if they know what to do and what to say. YMHFA is a training course that teaches adults who regularly interact with youth (parents, school personnel, coaches, youth group leaders, etc.) how to help a youth who is developing a mental health challenge or experiencing a mental health crisis. The training provides the skills to IDENTIFY, UNDERSTAND, and RESPOND to signs of mental distress and substance use disorders. YMHFA is free to participants. Check this page for updates on the next YMHFA training session.
