Important Information:
Police Reports generally take three working days to reach the Records Bureau and to become available to the public. There is a charge for copies of reports, so we encourage you to have your insurance company make the request for the report.

Acceptable Forms of Payment:
Cash, Check and Money Order

Fee Schedule:

  • All Police Reports: $4 for the first page
  • Additional Pages: $1 each
  • Accident Reports: $5
  • Handicap Parking Violations: $160
  • All Other Parking Violations: $75
  • Disc or USB Drive: $25 each

Parking tickets received within the Township are to be paid at the Police Department within 10 days.

A copy of a police report may be requested if you were named within the report as a victim, offender, or as a person interviewed. The copy of the report will not include non-public information of any other person involved. If a party involved in the incident is the subject of a criminal investigation, or has been arrested/accused of a crime, the report will be redacted of exempt content under the Freedom of Information Act Law MCL 15.243sec13.

Accident reports may be purchased online through CLEMIS.org for a cost of $13.00

Accident reports may also be purchased in person at the police department for $5.00

You will be contacted when your report is available for pick up after you submit this request.

It is required that the report be picked up at the police department. You must present photo identification before receiving the record.

Payment for the report is to be made at time of pick up.

Only cash, check, and money order are accepted forms of payment. Cost of the report will vary depending on the length of the record.
