On Feb. 19, 2024, at approximately 1 pm, the Northville Township Police Department, responded to a reported vehicle accident at Five Mile Road between Beck and Ridge roads involving a small sedan and semi-truck. The driver of the sedan was extricated from the vehicle by the Northville Township Fire Department and then transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.

At this time, it appears the sedan crossed the center line, colliding with the truck. The driver of the truck was uninjured and is being cooperative with the investigation. There is no immediate evidence of alcohol or any intoxicating substances being a factor.

The Northville Township Police are working with the Michigan State Police Accident Investigation Team to investigate the incident.

Police are not releasing any names at this time.
