The Planning Department is responsible for administering the long term planning efforts of the Township, maintaining the Zoning Ordinance, administering development related regulations and acts as the technical staff to the Planning Commission, Zoning Board of Appeals and the Board of Trustees to assist each in making decisions regarding land uses and development proposals. The Planning Department is always available to assist residents, developers, new businesses, contractors and other agencies to ensure proposals and plans meet Township requirements.

The Planning Department performs a wide range of services including processing development reviews, providing zoning information, granting special event permits and fosters economic growth and attraction of businesses and industry.
