Do you open all the absentee ballots?

Yes! Every single absentee ballot that is received by 8pm on Election Day is opened and tabulated to be part of the total township Election Results.
How can I automatically receive an absentee ballot?

With the passing of Prop 22-2, you can now sign up for the Permanent Ballot program by checking the box on the Absentee Application.
How do I obtain an absentee ballot?

Call 248-348-5825 to request an application be mailed to you submit an application online at Michigan Voter Information Center.
How does my college-aged child vote if they are away at school?
Your child must fill out an absentee application and send it to the Clerk’s Office via:

I have a Power of Attorney for a family member, can I sign for them?

No, a voter must sign or make their mark on the application and the outside envelope of the absentee ballot. If you assist a voter with the return of the application, you must complete the Certificate of Authorized Elector Returning Absent Voter Ballot Application.

What is early voting?

Early Voting is a nine day period prior to every State and Federal election that allows voters to vote their ballot and cast it in the tabulator. Northville Township has one Early Voting site open 8am to 4pm; it is located at Township Hall during these nine days.
