The Northville Township Fire Department does conduct fire protection system plan reviews, site plan reviews, fire protection system inspections and testing and fire and life safety inspections. In partnership with our business community we can help to make sure that everyone is protected.

IROL Implementation Information

Inspections, testing, and maintenance (ITM) of fire protection systems is imperative to their proper function. ITM is required by code to verify on a regular basis (annually, semi-annually, etc.) that a fire protection system (fire sprinkler, fire alarm, kitchen hood suppression, etc.) is properly functioning and can be relied upon by the occupants inside the building.

Since 2017, Northville Township requires that all ITM reports be submitted through our www.inspectionreportsonline.net portal. This portal serves as a clearinghouse for all inspection, testing, and maintenance reports and allows us to review the reports, identify the deficiencies and communicate with both the Service Provider and the building owner/manager to restore all systems to proper working order.
